Kurt Hockenbury<khockenb@stevens-tech.edu>

My official title is now Network Security Specialist.

Things that I do for my job:

I wrote a FAQ for comp.unix.admin. It's in need of updating and reposting, but I haven't had time to work on it.

I finished my MS (in Mathematics, go figure?), and have now started a Ph.D. (Interdiciplinary Math/CS), which I'll be working on for years unless someone comes along and and I decide to sell out for big bucks. If you're interested in paying me $150,000/year or more, I'd like to hear from you. :-)

My current interests and hobbies include reading (SF, Fantasy, Computers, Zines, Travel, Histories, Usenet...), gaming (mostly GMing GURPS), Linux, Travel (so far: Amsterdam, the Yucatan and Eastern Australia and Doing Things with my friends, most of whom aren't quite so geeky as me. (I can't help it - I had gotten out of being a geek a few years ago, but then I was offered a job as a sysadmin, and had to geek out to learn everything fast enough. I'm finally past that stage, and back to being a person, mostly.) As with most geekish types who work at Engineering Schools, I'm in need of a girlfriend.

I have my own, for-fun, Hypertext page here. Why not?
